The 'Nora'

The 'Nora' custom order wedding dress is made to your measurements from rare
1930s pure cotton lace, beautiful unused new stock that was made on the
original antique looms used in the Victorian era, and an authentic antique lace
bodice. The dresses pictured have been designed by working with our brides to
create a look they'll love, so while this means each dress is unique, we can
still make a dress for you very similar to the ones above. We love working with
our brides, and we encourage your involvement throught the whole process -
creating your design, and choosing your lace from our vintage 1920's -
1930's/40's lace stock. Laces are rare and subject to availability while stocks
last.

The 'Nora' is an empire styled wedding dress with a high waist that's
flattering, graceful and elegant, and very comfortable to wear. An heirloom
wedding dress in pure, breathable cotton, designed to be worn for generations,
it features an empire waist, flared skirt and gently flowing train. Our
bohemian dress is a pull over the head dress. No annoying zips, where the light
stretch of the lace and a bridal belt/sash is used to pull in and shape the
waist. This dress is very forgiving if your weight changes, and easy to adjust
the fit if needed. The front features a hand made illusion bodice, from
exquisite and authentic lace from the c. 1800's - 1920s. This is all
painstaking hand worked, piece by piece. The skirt comes hemmed with the 30s
lace own border trim. If not suitable, vintage, antique or beautiful cotton
cluny style lace will be used. The dress is lined with super comfy stretch
jersey in cream or white. Custom additions like beading or rare lace trims may
incur further charges.

wedding. Our studio can get very busy at times, and it's important to be sure
that we have the time to fit in your request. All our dresses are handmade in
the Girl on a Pony Vintage studio located in the foothills of the Snowy
Mountains in rural Australia.
